Our Self Serve Deli

We have a small self serve deli full of all good things local!  Create a platter of wonderful local cheese, charcuterie, smoked salmon or salmon pate; add a freshly baked baguette, local crackers, some samplers of chutney or wine jelly, and you’ll have the perfect pairing for our island wines!  Our grass patios are a place to savor good conversation with family and friends and enjoy the beauty of our vineyard views.  We are a small venue however and can’t manage many groups so if you are a group of 6 – 10 (10 people max) please reserve well in advance.  Birthday cakes (yes!) and special needs please ask us,  otherwise please do not bring in your own picnic items.  We suggest starting at the tasting bar to choose your wine, then grab a picnic basket and choose your deli items.  We provide the picnic baskets , plates, cutlery and platters and the best outdoor seats for views of the Oldfield valley :)

Chutney, jams and wine jellies

We grow pippins for our Curried Pippin Chutney – fabulous with a sharp cheese like Natural Pastures Aged Cheddar.  Try our Rhubarb Sour Cherry Toasted Black Mustard Chutney from our own cherries and rhubarb.  Great with cheeses but also spicy sausage, and especially duck.  We make 5 kinds of wine jelly (Ortega,  Pinot Noir Rose & Rosemary, Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir Star Anise, and Foch) and Quince jelly from the orchard up the hill at Brambleside vineyard.  These small jars of jellies make a great hostess gift, are great for dressing up a cheese board, a condiment for bbq’d meat, or an addition to a reduction of pan juices to brighten up the flavors!  Enjoy at lunch or buy them in our wine shop to take home. All made in our VIHA approved farm kitchen.

Besides wine grapes, we grow apples, cherries, rhubarb, loganberries and blackberries. We also buy from these local farms!
